WESTRIDGE GOLF COURSE

Golf Anyone?

Question: What does the Valencia Company, PGA Tour Golf Course Properties, and Hydro-Arch have in common?

Answer: Westridge, and the new 18-hole Tournament Players Club championship golf course.

Chosen as the most cost effective solution for the 3 golf/pedestrian tunnels, Hydro-Arch was given the responsibility of designing and building the first arch tunnels of its type within Los Angeles County. Until that time neither Hydro-Arch nor any of its competitors had constructed cast-in-place arch culverts in LA. County. And as usual, time was money and construction of the tunnels was critical to the golf course construction schedule.

Working with Dan Boltinghouse PE. of Pacific Advance Civil Engineering, Hydro-Arch received approval through L.A County Public Works in less than 60 days. Hydro-arch was able to construct the three tunnels, well ahead of schedule and within budget, allowing the golf course to proceed without any delay.

Since the Westridge project, Hydro-Arch has gone on to receive approval from many California public works departments including, San Diego County. Riverside County and also Ventura County.
